Why choose Vitalpet™?
Most cats and dogs dislike stagnant water. Our fountain attracts even the pickiest pets with its moving, fresh, and oxygen-rich water design. Its ultra-quiet operation is perfect for nervous animals. If your cat only drinks from the bathroom sink, this mimics that natural experience, but safely and without any messy cords.
How long does one tank last?
Thanks to its massive 4.5L (4500ml) capacity, a single tank can provide fresh water for up to 1 to 2 weeks for an adult cat or a small dog. This gives you complete peace of mind, even if you are out of the house all day.
What is the constant heat mode for?
The Vitalpet fountain includes an optional winter mode. When activated, the heating base maintains the water at a comfortable 28°C (82°F). This feature is ideal if you live in very cold climates, if the fountain is placed outdoors, or for older pets with sensitive teeth who avoid drinking freezing water.

WHAT A FILTER CAN (AND CAN'T) DO

A Filter Was Never Built to Replace Water — Only to Delay Cleaning It

Filters exist to make the same water look and smell acceptable for longer, so you can clean less often. That's a real function. But it has real limits — and it's worth knowing exactly where those limits are.

What a Filter CAN Do

  • Trap hair and larger particles
  • Reduce odor thanks to activated carbon
  • Soften taste if the water is hard

What a Filter CAN'T Do

  • Remove bacteria — activated carbon absorbs dissolved organic compounds, it doesn't filter or kill bacterial cells
  • Avoid becoming a biofilm surface itself once saturated
  • Replace the water — it's still the same water, just passed through a filter

So no matter how good the filter, the water underneath never actually changes — it just keeps recycling through the same tank. The real fix was never a better filter. It's not needing one at all.

That's why VitalPet skips filtering completely. On a set schedule, it empties the old water out entirely and replaces it with new — solving the one thing a filter was never able to.
